Now, I'm working on a new Broadway musical, "Allegiance" as SDCF Observer for director Stafford Arima. It's a new musical about Japanese internmnet camp inspired by George Takei's true story. Lea Salonga and Telly Leung as well as George Takei star in the show. I'm in the exciting process of creating a new musical in such a collaborative creative team!!!
Recent graduate from Emerson College in May 2015 with my Masters of Arts in Theatre Education - Theatre and Community as well as New York University Global program; Theatre Practice in Puerto Rico(specialized in Physical Theatre). I believe that the theatre is a beautiful and powerful tool for mutual understanding of different cultures and ultimately collaborative arts. As an artist, I direct and write/adapt plays and musicals. I love to create devised piece too. As a theatre educator, I encourage students' creativity and their own voices with innovative curriculum. As an arts administrator, I'm collaborative, result-driven achiever with exemplary planning and organization skills.
From my background of an advertising account executive, I think theatre encourages people's critical-thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and creativity that are essential for everyone's well being and better society as a whole.
